If I Could Sit Down With My 25-Year-Old Self

By Nino Mihilli | Entrepreneur, Author, Founder of T47 Group, and Creator of Xsatori

Every once in a while I think about the younger version of myself.

The guy with big dreams.

Big ambition.

Very little patience.

And absolutely no idea what the next twenty years would hold.

If I could sit across the table from that 25-year-old today, I probably wouldn't talk much about business.

I'd talk about life.

Because while businesses can be rebuilt...

Time cannot.

I'd Tell Him to Stop Rushing

When you're young, everything feels urgent.

You feel like you're behind.

Like everyone else is moving faster.

Like success has a deadline.

It doesn't.

Some of the best opportunities in my life came years after I thought they "should" have happened.

Life isn't a race.

It's a journey.

One that unfolds differently for everyone.

I'd Tell Him Relationships Matter More Than Networking

Early in my career I thought networking meant collecting business cards.

Today I think differently.

Real relationships aren't transactional.

They're built over years.

Through trust.

Consistency.

Showing up.

Helping people when you expect nothing in return.

Those relationships become one of life's greatest assets.

I'd Tell Him Failure Isn't the Enemy

I used to fear making mistakes.

Now I fear not learning from them.

Every business I've built has taught me something.

Every setback has taught me something.

Every difficult season has taught me something.

Experience is expensive.

But it's one of the few investments that always pays you back.

I'd Tell Him to Protect His Time

There will always be another meeting.

Another email.

Another opportunity.

But there won't always be another chance to have dinner with your family.

Or coach your kids.

Or call your parents.

The older I get, the more I realize time is life's most valuable currency.

Spend it wisely.

I'd Tell Him Faith Will Carry Him

There will be seasons when plans fall apart.

Moments when nothing makes sense.

Times when the future feels uncertain.

Those are the moments where faith becomes more than a belief.

It becomes an anchor.

The Bible says:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5

I didn't fully understand that verse when I was younger.

Life eventually taught me why it's true.

I'd Tell Him to Keep Building

There will be people who doubt you.

Projects that fail.

Ideas that never work.

Ignore them.

Keep building.

One day you'll start companies.

You'll write a novel called The Variable.

You'll build technology you can't even imagine yet.

You'll meet incredible people.

You'll make mistakes.

You'll grow because of them.

And you'll realize the journey was preparing you all along.

I'd Tell Him One Last Thing

Don't spend your life trying to impress people.

Spend your life trying to become someone you're proud of.

Because eventually the applause fades.

The titles change.

The money comes and goes.

But character stays.

Faith stays.

Family stays.

Those are the things that matter.

Those are the things worth building.
